  1. Hello Everyone hope all is having a great new year. I was going through my farther coin collection and found a roll of unopened 1969 s Nickels. Can anyone please help me with a couple of questions. First all of them have real sharp edges common or not im not sure. The next question is on the backside the unum is barley visible. Also look ot the front of the coin at the date and there is damange around the rim ... im new to this guys so be easy on me ... Thanks for your time

They appear to be BU business strikes for 1969 s nickels. On the reverse, 'Unum' was struck-thru grease. Also, the first picture has a couple rim CUD's.

I do not think they are proof coins because they have too many imperfections.

I agree. Business strikes. I don’t recall offhand if there are variants for the date/mm but in uncirculated condition they would have a slight premium. A common date/mm combination but of interest to roll set collectors.

UNUM is weak because when the coin was struck the available metal filed the obverse die. Jeffersons shoulder is a thick and wide design element. Study the overlay.
For an idea of value you can look at auction sold prices on Ebay, PCGS, or NGC.

I agree with previous posts. Also, that looks like a die crack in the first pic, in front of the collar. Nice roll.

Work on your focus for your pics. It looks like the camera or scope moved when you pressed the button on pic 2 & 3. Try using the capture button in your software instead of the button on the camera, if you can. I take all my pics hands off the camera for just this reason.

Where? I don't see any CUDs, only CUTs, damage.

These are called 'rim' CUD's because they are only on the rim and don't go any further.
