I know that a lot of people are bailing on the FUN show because of the pandemic. If you are planning to attend, please consider coming to my presentation. My topic will be the life of Abraham Lincoln with an emphasis on his early life and how he won the 1860 presidential election. I will show how the major issues of the day were debated on presidential campaign medalets, and show some U.S. coins that bear key dates in Lincoln's life. I think that you will see some aspects of our hobby that you have noted previously.

I am Bill Jones, and I will speak on Friday, January 7 at 1:30 PM in Room N320E.

    Thank you for your attention.

Here is an unofficial inaugural medalet that was issued prior to March 4, 1861 when Lincoln took the Oath of Office.

I have a question regarding your presentation. I can't make the show because of work which is the usual case. Will your presentation be recorded and if so where might I find a copy to purchase? Whenever I can get time to attend a show, which is rare, I have spent it on the bourse and not seen any presentations which I would thoroughly enjoy.

The post being referred to is copied from CAC Boards. It is not Mr. Jones posting.

In the past FUN as archived previous presentations on their website. I hope that mine makes the cut unless I fall flat on my face. Here is the link.

I just copied the same post for the three sites. My cover is blown here, but some people had figured that out already.

Bill is a fantastic historian. I will miss not being at FUN and not because of Covid. I have some family and other issues to attend to and travel is out of the question for a few weeks, if not months.

I attended Bill's presentation yesterday. The materials and Bill's performance were delightful. Some very cool political tokens and medals were shown. A nice job putting everything in context.

From Illinois. I grew up right near Springfield! Lincolns home while he lived there. And the capital building from the era. This is the old illinois state capital.
