So I'm quite a bit rusty. it's been a very long time since I've even dabbled with coins. I've taken a long step away from coin roll hunting but I'm excited to get back into it now that I have a phone with a camera that works again lol I know it's hard to tell but could somebody let me know if this is just machine doubling or not. I apologize if the pictures are not the best.
Just some advice, this is the wrong way to re-dabble. Errors is a small subset, and looking for doubled dies is even smaller. If that's where your interest in collecting is, you can do what you're doing, here, posting magnified pictures and asking us if we think you got anything, or you can learn how to tell it for yourself. It's up to you. A fifth-grader can learn this, don't be fooled by the "experts" into thinking it's beyond the average person's capacity, because it's just not. There's obviously no doubling in the coin, there's your answer on that. If that holds you, you don't have to learn how to tell for yourself, just keep posting and asking the questions, and we'll keep finding the answers. I'll tell you what will happen, though, as there are a lot here who do that very same thing. Years will go by and they'll still not know the first thing about what they're looking for, let alone why they're even looking for it. We're all familiar with those types and their threads as after a time they get a reputation, call it, and it's hardly a flattering one, I have to tell you truthfully.
When I started collecting coins after I inherited my father's collection, I started asking questions. I learned a great deal. However, I also found I needed to learn a great deal more. I subscribed to coin magazines and joined ANA. I still ask questions, even if it is a dumb one. Members here are quick to help. Many thanks to all.
Welcome back. Along with pin-pointing the issue posting the entire coin would be good. I also see no doubling. Thanks for sharing.
