I thought so. I compared it to all the other varieties and it looked like the only one with that much spacing between the stars. But I really had nothing at this level of wear to compare it to.

The easiest way IMO, is to check the reverse and not worry about the stars--especially with this much wear. The 50” and “C” spacing is much wider than in other 1807 marriages.

My LCS stuck me up for more money yesterday.... 1808 O-108 R3. And the cool thing about the slq, it is pop 1 at CAC! I was scrolling the newly listed and saw the slq. Then I scrolled to the CBH. I had the guy on the phone to place the order before I even looked at the reverse of it lol. He was getting ready for my cc number I was shuffling through my phone to look at the reverse. Then went ahead and got the slq too. And then I scrolled on down to make sure there wasn't anything else I wanted...

I have made another purchase to upgrade this 1954-D Lincoln.

For $4.00 and 1.98 shipping, I got this replacement. (The dark mark on the beard is where the lighting is reflected away from the camera by a tiny ding.) Sadly, even the animation can't capture its shiny brilliance.

This worked out well, so the new one is definitely going into the set. I like it better than the plate coin at the NGC Price Guide.

Here’s its new home. I’m pretty happy with this group.

@RonSanderson I love your upgrades. It is fun to compare the pros and cons of each of your new acquisitions, so please keep posting!

Here is my latest Lincoln. Cracked her out of an AU 58 PCGS slab.

This purchase was made a little while back, but I never posted it.

This was the 1949-S Lincoln that I had. It was well struck with few marks, but overall just a dull coin.

For $6.44, I got this replacement. It is free of spotting. The obverse has silky fields and sharp details without any dings. There is a little strike roughness in the usual spot on the jacket. The reverse a few contact marks, but fewer than the original, so it is also better than the one I had.

Full resolution photos. I got a light reflection off the cheekbone so maybe I should take new pictures some day.

NGC Price Guide for 1949 S 1C MS is $25 for MS66 RD and $225 for MS67RD. I can only guess that at these higher prices the purchaser is buying registry set points and plastic, and not just the coin. Once again, I like this one better than the NGC plate coin.

Also, I got this Cameo 1964 Proof. Not slabbed, but the seller calls it Gem. I splurged a bit and spent $11.

Last purchase of 2021- delivered on the last day. I like having some oddball holders in the collection.

Ebay sent me a notice that I had $2.37 in eBucks. Lucky me after contemplating what to do with this windfall....I ordered 2 sets of 2022 P & D Lincoln cents to update my Lincoln set. Sellers image. 2022 1c.png
