    Hi guys,

I have this 1966 Washington Quarter and see that there is extra metal on the top upper right rim above the "O" in OF on this quarter. Can someone explain what this is?

It could be the start of a cud.

Noting the inconsistency of the rim on the obverse, it appears that it could be a fold over of metal. Just my observation.

looks like a folded over rim fin to me, NAV.
It's not a cud, pre-cud, or even crack for sure.
