I know these are slightly rare for a modern, yet, 5K ? https://www.apmex.com/product/73063...61&utm_content=All Products Bing Shopping CPA I think you can get at auction for 3k or even less. Even their PCGS priced at 4500.00 is too high by $1500.00 https://www.apmex.com/product/10329...61&utm_content=All Products Bing Shopping CPA Any thoughts ? I am curious and know these don't come up too often. There are still plenty out there waiting to be sold
They have to make a profit obviously. At GC the PCGS are usually like 3500-4k with the first strikes being over 7k. Not the slightest clue why the NGC would be priced higher, the last NGC ER to sell at GC sold for the price the PCGS normal ones usually sell for so I dunno for that https://www.greatcollections.com/Au...los?cmd=price_go&q=2008-W+$50&series=&sort=02
1 year ago when Gold was same price as today, these would go for 3k, even at the auction house you listed. 2008W burnished. are the rare ones, and I see people paying beyond ridiculous priced for the Cameo's that are not rare at all. Even with a year gone by, I can see them selling for 3500.00 like the very last one at auction for 3386.00 after auction fees. Seems reasonable. And then this, why would someone pay this much for this coin ? 2 photos 2008-W $50 One-Ounce Gold American Buffalo PCGS Proof-70 DCAM Is the 08-W NONE BURNISHED getting lumped in with the rare one and people making money on the hopes someone bids ?
That's a year ago. Prices have been increasing pretty much all year in a lot of areas. They're closer to 4k now for the PCGS but I can't explain the decision for the NGC price. That's what the proofs cost and have so for well over a year. Even the NGC ones get close to that price and they pretty consistently sell for less than the PCGS ones. For the GC prices no, those are auctions with multiple bidders setting the price
Still shocked at the increases over the past year as I have not been watching, only drop in every few months when really bored, or not much work, sales, etc. Still love talking it. Couldn't believe the prices at local for silver either, wow !!!! I just wonder what they would offer for the 2015 Silver eagle I bought from them 6 years at 16/each.
The Prices on bloomberg and CNBC each morning are so manipulated by Comex, Rostin Behnam of CFTC and bullion banks it is hard to know the truth anymore. When you can sell twice the amount silver minded in the world during one early morning trading session via Paper contracts, you have lost your way to reality. They do anything, cheat, steal, lie, to keep the prices down and force Americans into the Cruel Fiat currency that steal from you daily via Inflation. Sooner or later it catches up Happy for my kid... things have double without the price of Silver or Gold really moving off of the prices a couple of years ago.
