The reverse has the same tones as the obverse, but the position in the slab won't let me photo them. A bit of dust,

I don't think I posted this one before. Photos from April 2021. Color is a bit off.

 

The texture of Mr Lincoln's hair and beard are more pronounced and palpable in that photo than I've ever seen before.

 

I hate it when fine coins get put in a holder of any kind with dust and other debris.

Is it in a foam insert? The obverse photo makes it look like a serious MAD. LOL

 

I have no idea. Picked it up a while ago. Does seem to be nicer than the yellow ones.

 

You know why that could be? They reworked the dies between 68 and 69 I know these examples are business strikes compared to the OP's proof, but you can definitely see a difference. In '68 Lincoln looks clean shaven!

It is the insert, the coin is tipped at an angle.

 

I haven' seen that one yet. Way better looking than the yellow.

 

That is exactly why the beard and hair look well defined. Then also it is a proof.
