Was your original post a request for the CT folks to evaluate your coin? You should put up a coin and ask specific questions.
I didn’t say it was, I said it looks. The thing is we weren’t there. It’s a guessing game, or speculation as to what happened. I’m giving you my best guess based on your photos. Anything could have caused it. It may be a defective planchet or a mint error. It could be a small die chip. We don’t know and we don’t have the coin in hand. We only have photos. Whatever happened, happened a long time ago and the coin has seen circulation afterwards.
Recent circulation or not, it's still PMD from circulation wear and hits, but good eye in catching that anomaly.
