I am going to the launch tomorrow and am going to have access to some rolls of the new cents. I was thinking that they are gonna be common as dirt in a few months, so I was wondering if anyone here wanted me to get them a roll that I could then ship to them if they paid all of the expenses. If I get 500 responses, I may have to re-think, but if you'd like me to get you a roll, then PM me and I will see what I can do.

Hmmm... How much do the rolls go for? Just face value? I've been wondering how to get my hands on some soon.
I also would love some, but the postage is prohibative. These will be in the banks before long....it is only February.
ok, all... the response has been overwhelming (I probably should have thought this through a little more) and I have to change a few things. I am driving a total of 5 hours and 370 miles. I would love to send everyone that asked a box of these new cents both P and D mint, but I am not driving an armored car and the supply is not infinite. The coins can't be sold at face value, sorry. I am investing quite a bit in this trip. The publicity says that I can get between 2 and 6 rolls at the ceremony, more if supplies allow. I may be restricted to just those rolls. (and I won't be happy about it!) I am going to consider any offers made to me above face first when distributing these rolls. There have been quite a few offers to buy rolls above and beyond face, and I will decide based on supply how many of these offers will be honored. A lot of the requests have asked for specific mint coins. let me tell you, I have no idea what there will be, but it will all be from 1 mint. I will try to honor as many requests as I can. I was on holiday in San Juan PR when they hit the streets there ....however did not have my lap top and did not know that the banks in PR had them... Just a case of right place but had no idea that they were in circulation .
I had Mike's picture and I still didn't see him in the crowd. I was probably more visible since I was one of only a handful of people accompanied by a teenager. A strawberry blond long-haired teenager.
