    Could be a die crack, but that's an unusual place. Need better photos.

    Probably a die crack. If you can have die chips between the B and E to make a “BIE”, it follows your die crack can be too. I ruled out a die gouge, but I suppose that’s possible too.

    Normal wear for a ‘70-D, not a lot of added value, maybe .50 or at most a dollar to the right person.

    Judging from the right side at the top of the R and the left top of the T, which are both flattened a bit I would think that’s it’s a scratch that had been worn down.

    In retrospect, the value is less than 25 cents.

    I just finished a handful of ‘70 cents and I passed on 7 of them with this level of wear. I did find 1 in AU58RB condition that I kept.
