A bit disappointed by the newest American Innovation Dollar..."Handball"

It reminds me of the "toy" inside a box of Cracker Jacks.

My first look was disappointing, but the longer I look at it the more I think it's crudeness quite adequately reflects the era. I played Pong with my lady friend over at her house, and this is what it looked like! (Yes I understand that this is the predecessor game Handball, but so what?)

Ha, I had the same one. At the time, we had the best.....and, we were cool! I was born in '56'.

 

I was disappointed when they increased the prices for them, I can't get more disappointed than I already was. they can keep their overpriced dolars.

At least this year they decided to make a reverse proof "SET" and not sell each one individually for $11.50 a pop...... the 4 coin proof set last year was $24.00, but if I wanted the 4 reverse proofs it was $46.00... forget that nonsense. even at $6.00 each it's a stretch! let's see how they end up pricing the set, but I bet it's in the $46 range still. LOL

I admit it...I like it in-hand a lot!!!
It did little for me "on paper" but I'm genuinely enjoying the strangeness of the sideways layout combined with one of the oddest U.S. coin designs lol!

I've always been in love with the liberty reverse of the American Innovation Dollars so I decided to give it a chance
Just received this little B-day Xmas combo gift I bought myself...

 

Liberty is actually the OBVERSE. They just put it in holders backwards.

 

Sideways layout? Looks more to me like it has a rotated die error.

 

I think it's disappointing too.

 

I kind of like its simplicity. Not a fussy design, but simple, and attractive. I just picked up this one the other day.
