Pavlos, it looks like an excellent year for you :D! My favorite is #3, the beautiful gold hyperpyron , followed by #2, the Athens Owl, & #8, the early nomos from Lucania .

I went with 1, 4, and 9. I seem to be the only one to give the Seleukid bronze a vote?? I do have to admit finding their AE more interesting than AR, and I find that facing head very intriguing indeed. And I love the electrum crab... such a wonderful little coin! The Rhodes drachm is very attractive, but so are many others on your list as well, in addition to their being be interesting types. All in all it looks looks like you had a very fruitful coin year!

Good year, Pavlos, and nice coins! The history behind the seal is very interesting (and makes for great reading), that alone is enough to make it my favorite from your top 10 list. I also voted for the electrum from Kos and the stater from Metapontum ( I really like the incuse style staters from Magna Graecia, but somehow none has found its way into my collection yet. Something I'll hopefully work on next year).
All the best and happy coin hunting in '22!

Congratulations on the diverse and interesting coin year, @Pavlos :). My favorites are the Mytilene, the owl tet, and the Kos fractional stater (which fits your collection nicely :).

Pavlos You pick out the big men. I'll make them brave!

    Thank you!

    Thanks a lot @cmezner!

Thank you @Ancient Aussie! It was my intention to get an owl that checks everything I want: nose of Athena, a part of the crest, and a nicely centered Athena and owl. Having the necklace would be nice as well, but this is more than enough!

Thanks John! I already thought you would like the big silver ;)
Indeed, after the sack of Constantinople, the coinage really fell downwards hard. I am therefore happy atleast 3 out of 4 faces are visible.

    Thanks a lot!

Thank you @Al Kowsky for your nice words!

Thanks! I am glad the bronze coin gets appreciated, it is difficult getting a nice example from that issue.

I indeed noticed that nobody gave the Seleukid bronze a vote, well thanks @zumbly ;) Seleukid bronze gets quite unappreciated, but I suppose because I am a specialized collector in that sense. The bronze coinage is extremely vast and sometimes there is a chance you won't be seeing an example for another 5 years.
Glad to see everyone enjoys the EL crab :)

Thank you @Ignoramus Maximus! The seal seems to get a lot of appreciation. The area is quite new for me too, but I really enjoy the individual character of each seal and also the artistry of the Christian iconography! I hope I can catch some more seals next year.
Hope to see an incuse coin in your collection next year!

Thanks a lot @TIF! Really appreciated. Glad to get complements on the owl tet, I remember reading you were quite picky with yours ;)

I voted for 1, 3, and 4, but want to give a shout-out for 4 and (along with zumbly) 9 which are both phenomenal coins! What a year, Pavlos!

8, 1 and 5 for me, in that order. I simply love Metapontion nomos, reason why it ranks before your crab avatar : I can't believe such a tiny coins can show those details

    Your coins and posts are always interesting @Pavlos and this list is no exception. My favorites;
    • #3 - One of these walls of Constantinople coins has been on my list for a while. What a unique architecture type.
    • #1 - Interesting and very early coin!
    • #4 - Nice facing portrait!
