There was a Chinese buffet I used to go to with frog legs as big as drumsticks. The best $7 buffet I’ve ever gone to

Chinese friends got me to eat snails when I lived in NY. you had to spear them and pull them out or just suck hard...don't know if I want to repeat now though

I will eat anything. I’ve had sheep brain on a stick for crying out loud!
    Will not try snail. Never.

Had a half sheep's head as an appetizer in a NY Italian restaurant...that's what it was, a half of a sheep's head, roasted!!

I ate pig's brain in Romania. Very delicious and I'm serious.

The sheep brain I had, had the texture and taste of a Swedish meatball. Yum

The pig's brain had more of the texture of cream cheese, but I can't remember the taste. I know it tasted good otherwise I wouldn't have had two helpings.

I've also eaten balut and durian in the Philippines. I can't say I would go back for seconds on either.

Actually the brain and tongue were tasty and there were scraps of flesh hanging to the skull. The guys I was with were challenging me to eat the eyeball, but when I started to bite into it, one of then slapped my hand and it rolled away (really).

Something I really like the taste of is the optic eye of a "big head fish" that they serve in southern china. Yum yum

First or second week in Brooklyn, FOB South Carolina, a Chinese guy and a Korean guy I worked with took me to Chinatown for lunch (during Chinese New Year also). As became usual, I let them order. When I asked what it was, they just said "Eat it first". Our main dish was a casserole that was delicious, when I dipped in to get more, up comes the fish head...I could see them waiting for me to be shocked, but I kind of squealed and said "I want the eyes". They got a laugh out of that, but it stuck me with eating fish eyes often when I ate with Chinese people.

I have travelled a lot in my career (and feel very fortunate to have been exposed to many diverse cultures.) I have tried a lot of different foods, cooked, raw, and live. Several insects, rodents, various African game, various organs, etc. All of the foods listed so far in this thread, I have had. I believe my experiences are similar to @Bing ‘s.

I have no qualms trying anything, and found that many foods are incredibly delicious, if you keep an open mind.

I think the only two things I've ever turned down when they were in front of me were:

    fried cicadas
    dog meat

    Otherwise, I'll try anything once

Haha, well I hope you get a frog coin of your own some day, so the forum will benefit from a proper writeup on them. A main course as opposed to this amuse-bouche as it were. :D
Well, that's certainly dampened my appetite a little. :shy:

Had rattlesnake at a family reunion one year. Tastes like chicken. Same with snapping turtle.

I sometimes like to joke when someone offers me chicken, "Chicken? I've never had chicken myself, but I hear it tastes like snake, so I'll try it."
