The postie delivered this to me today, a tetradrachm of Trajan I bought more than a month ago on Vcoins. A Roman tetradrachm with the eagle reverse was on my bucket list, and it's a bonus that the coin depicts Trajan, the Optimus Princeps. I really like the bust of Trajan that I made it into my avatar! It is chunky at 14.6g, with 23 mm. Post any tetradrachms of Trajan!

Very nice pickup! Antioch tets are a lot of fun to collect, very nice-sized coins at a good value with some great portraits…I have many of them, but do not have a Trajan yet. I have one of those, also recently ordered a tridrachm of trajan... I'm kind of having some buyers regret, impulse purchase I guess you could say. Hope I change my mind when its in hand. Sometimes you just don't know until you see it in RL.
That tridrachm looks really good, and a scarcer denomination as well, for me any buyers regret would be overpaying!
I bought the Tet pictured below a long time ago at a bargain price because of the graffito on the obverse. It sold at auction 5 years ago for $480.00. I wonder what it would fetch at auction today ?

Sort of. It's what renaissance and early modern numismatists -- writing in Latin -- called a coin cabinet.
