The postie delivered this to me today, a tetradrachm of Trajan I bought more than a month ago on Vcoins. A Roman tetradrachm with the eagle reverse was on my bucket list, and it's a bonus that the coin depicts Trajan, the Optimus Princeps. I really like the bust of Trajan that I made it into my avatar!
It is chunky at 14.6g, with 23 mm.

    Post any tetradrachms of Trajan!

Very nice pickup! Antioch tets are a lot of fun to collect, very nice-sized coins at a good value with some great portraits…I have many of them, but do not have a Trajan yet. I can share this Trajan tetradrachm from Alexandria.

    A very attractive coin!

Since I just posted my Trajan tetradrachm with Tyche on the reverse in the Tyche of Antioch thread, I'll post this one here instead:

also recently ordered a tridrachm of trajan... I'm kind of having some buyers regret, impulse purchase I guess you could say. Hope I change my mind when its in hand. Sometimes you just don't know until you see it in RL.

That tridrachm looks really good, and a scarcer denomination as well, for me any buyers regret would be overpaying!

I bought the Tet pictured below a long time ago at a bargain price because of the graffito on the obverse. It sold at auction 5 years ago for $480.00. I wonder what it would fetch at auction today o_O?

That's a new word, correct me if i'm wrong but it sent me down a rabbit hole, I guess it means treasure?

Sort of. It's what renaissance and early modern numismatists -- writing in Latin -- called a coin cabinet.
