NICE LITTLE DIE CRACK ON RIGHT SIDE RIM TO BANNER AND UP THROUGH LETTER T, ON REVERSE..GOT A SWEET DEAL ON THIS ONE..3.15 WITH SHIPPING..NOT TOO BAD
since 2000 any errors escaping the mint are going bananas, i saw some die chipped statehood quarters in slabs from the usual error dealers on ebay from 50-200.00 for simple die chips....the prices you guys keep quoting me are from the 60's errors are rising and rising fast.... i saw a 2020 lsc go for 285.00 a few weeks ago and it had only a 1 inch die crack (from left side into banner)...
I guess I'll have to re-think the thousands of die cracks I have on hand. I save them all and used to sell them in 20 coin lots, but holy moly...
These are minor, fun to have, but can be found without buying them. Seems you would be better searching new rolls of these. It sure would be cheaper than a 350 to a thousand percent mark up. My 2 cents. These coins have always been a minor 2 to 5 cents a piece. It's your money.
Wait really? I've seen so many die cracks and die chips on zinc cents I don't even really look at them anymore unless it's something I can see without my loupe. Maybe I should rethink passing them over and start selling them too, lol.
never any for sale for that, laminations start at 3.00 and up, and die cracks 99 cents and up, less in quantity, i have searched well over 700.00 in cents this past year and a half, and have found maybe 5 die cracks, on the 2021's i have rolls of them, but smaller ones on the head, or base of lincoln's coat, none like the ones on the lower shield which i have bought...just trying to get some before they are all gone, or all in pcgs slabs for hundreds of dollars, like i said, simple clips i can get raw for 10-20.00 on state quarters, put em in a pcgs slab, they are getting 90-300 for em, and they are selling, look at ebay sold auctions..people are buying them i only paid 3 and change for the 2014, i thought it was fair...
also, it is very hard to get new rolls, at the first of the year there were maybe 20 or so, i gladly goot em from the bank, and the next 500 rolls all were useless older cents...maybe a habdful of reverse clashes but like i said, only 3 die cracks so far after all i searched, that is why i just gave up and bought the ones i need to fill in my collection
I hear ya, for me it is the study and die stages. Die cracks, light struck thru's are always fun. But honestly, Your spending a fortune on common coins, Not really an error, but a mishap of the minting process. most of these coins I trade out for coins in the need one take one jar at 7/11's. Oh, yeah those trays have been full for the past week. Change shortage my back side.
