I do most of my post on the world coin forums although I do enjoy reading all of the wonderful posts over here. This is my only ancient purchase of 2021. I don't like buying Ancients on line. There was a larger coin show in town this weekend and one of my favorite dealers was present. I mentioned that I would like a roman coin from the London mint. This was his one of the two he had to offer but was by far the better of them. Just as important to me was the old tag that was included.
It's a great coin, not listed in RIC with obverse legend CONSTANTINVS AG, but it is in the book "The London Mint of Constantius and Constantine" as # 7.04.036. They show one example with Sol on the shield, and while it is not completely clear, I think yours also has it. In hand it might be clearer to you. The coin was struck c. A.D. 311- 312
