Many of the CT members may recall a good while back I had a situation with another member who had agreed to purchase an item from me. We know the background of the situation. I want to now tell you that I have received payment from that member, albeit close to a year has passed since the situation. I want to also tell you a little about this individuals story. He is a Gulf War Veteran, discharged with some medical problems, which to a great degree caused his financial instability. It is appalling how many of our returning forces are treated by the Department Of Veterans Affairs. I myself am a Vietnam Veteran, still after all these years still in dispute with the DVA over benefits due. So I can certainly understand the financial hardship that they put these men and women through. In retrospect the issue of our situation was the least of my brother in arms struggle. Thank you for being a man of your word, I salute you and hope things are going better for you. Tom
not to get off topic, but really? My grandfather is a Korean War Veteran, and the VA seems to be excellent in their treatment. but anyway, as Dutch said, glad it was settled
As George Carlin used to say: "Because we treat our veterans SO WELL in this country...." It really is very sad.
