1999 D over P? + DDO

    heres a coin that i actually got from a coin dealer as change, any thoughts?

    Yeah, It isn't what you think it is as it is impossible. Mint marks have not been punched into the dies since 1990 or so. That makes the repunched mint mark obsolete. It's either damage, plus the result of the die being worn...or...there was some grease on the die causing the P to look a little odd.

    No way can it D/P the Philly & Denver mints have the own Obv Dies with the mint mark for Philly or Denver engrave in obv hub.
