Hello all! I´ve been looking information and value about this coin a long time for now. I have been told it is 3 grozes and Sigismund. But does anyone know how much it would be worth? I haven´t found much about it in the net so any help will be appreciated.:)

Really hard to say for sure based on your pictures, they are too small. But that really looks more like a modern reproduction than a genuine coin.

I suggest you try putting your coin pics on PhotoBucket or a similar site so that they can be shown full size.

I´m sure its not a replica:goofer: It came from my great grandfathers collection. About ten years ago I cleaned it so it might look like fake now. But Ill try to work with pictures.

Those are much better. But you need to understand, just because it came from your family collection does not mean it is genuine. Many have been fooled.

But, you cleaning it did a good bit of harm. Harshly cleaned coins, and yours is, can lose up to 80% of their value.

Assuming the coin were genuine, and it had not been harshly cleaned, it would have a value of $150 - $200.

Future advice, if a coin looks dirty or tarnished, Don't clean it.

Assuming the coin is real, that was some rough cleaning session :goof:

No patina, lots of scratch marks on the date side, unnatural shine... geez. These coins are much nicer when they have that visible age. Don't clean any other coins from that collection!

Thanks to all of your kind help. 10 yrs ago I wasn´t that smart when I´m now:goof: I think there´s no point of making copys of such coins..

Unfortunatly there are those in China and a few other places who would disagree with you, they are quite happy to reproduce just about anything :(

No point ? Hmmmm - what do you call the ability to make $150-$200 of profit on each one by selling the fakes to unsuspecting collectors on a coin that cost you $2 to make - if not a point ?

You said you cleaned it 10 years ago. What method did you use to clean it?
