A matte finish on a coin is a technique that has been used on some coins in the United States. I have no idea why it was used or on exactly which dates or issues. One of the most famous matte finish coins is the 1909 Lincoln Wheat cent. Some proof Lincoln Cents were made with a matte finish and they are worth big bucks. I don't think any modern issues were made with the matte finish. The coins you have shown are copper plated zinc cents which suffer from many finish problems due to interactions in the plating process. People on CT tend to tease and joke a lot, but generally only get mean when someone tells them they are lying and trying to steal the poster's coins. We do have many grammar Nazis here (myself sometimes included), but often they just want to help you improve your grammar because that can be a marketable skill.
