    Damaged,looks like it was dipped in some acid for to long aka high school experiment,still 10 cents.

    Heat. You can tell by the bubbles. The copper core heats up faster than the nickel outer layer.

    Looks like a nice beach find. Spent time rolling in sand, salt water and a lot of sun.
