I have not found a thread on this but has anyone bought a I phone 13 Pro or even regular 13?
Just curious how decent the photos are.
I see there are macro attachments you can buy too.
I need a new I Phone since Apple is deciding my 8 needs to stop working.
Here is A photo example of what my I phone 8 was giving me at my skill level anyways .

Can You explain what's so special about these IPhones ? I paid $130 dollars for my MOTO G and it works just fine. It calls, Talk to text, Internet, even receives ,takes messages , plays videos and Music. What else do you want ??

I need mine for work so needs to have good internet . Maybe I do not need the pro but seems like the camera is better and I dont want to spend alot of money to buy a extra camera for coin photos.

Here’s an iPhone 13 photo. Heading off to watch football now, but maybe I can post a coin later.

My iPhone 6s had a closest focus of about 4 inches. The 13 has a dedicated wide angle lens that shifts into macro mode when you get close. At that distance, the biggest problem is getting light past the phone body to illuminate the coin.

Our son purchased the iPhone 13 Pro. He advised us that it makes wonderful new closeup pictures. The only thing he does not care for is its size.

My phone is a little bit smaller than the 6s it replaced. I like the smaller size.

I took a picture of a lens wipe packet. This is about the same size as a silver dollar. Expand it to judge the resolution.

A friend bought one and his photos are amazing.

I'm an iPhone XR user and not a giant Apple fan, but the camera on mine is quite good, too. Better than on my old (base model) Samsung.

Here are a couple photos from my 13 pro. Coin behind plastic. Phone switches to macro when you get real close. Probably better photos can be had with a dedicated set-up but I like the picture quality off the shelf

Some people want a better camera, for one thing. I was perfectly happy with my old $180-something Samsung Android phone until it started acting up. In the transition to the much more expensive iPhone XR, (iPhone 10), I had a lot of grumbles and teething pains, readjusting to the iOS operating system.

But I will say that the camera on this phone is miles better than the one on the old Samsung. So there is that. I do all my coin photography with my phone. So it counts for something.

I have now begrudgingly gained respect for the iPhone. But like you said, a much more basic smartphone provides most everything the average user could want.

That's a nice photo and I also have an iPhone 8plus that I probably need to replace in the near future. My 8+ still works good but Apple don't like us keeping our phones for too long.

nope thats what happened to mine. Had a update and now blocks calls and the battery dies. Verizon said apple sends a kill update. Feel thats criminal but not much I can do about it. Maybe buy a different brand

I've installed all the IOS updates in my 8+ including the 15.1, with no problems. You might want to consider checking the health of your phone's battery and if needed installing a brand new battery in your iPhone.

The camera sensors in the iPhone 13 are made by Sony and they are pretty good. Personally I'm anti iphone but they do take nice pictures.

Can someone with the Iphone 13 pro take a picture of the moon and post it up here? I'd love to see how it turns out from that iphone.

I don’t know how much better a 13 pro would be.

Another iPad 13 Pro macro photo, marked as a 13mm wide-angle lens.

These mushrooms are just tiny. If you enlarge you can see the tiny fibers on each one.
