Thanks for the share. You know what they say; "Collect what you like."
For me, I'd want some authentication for some of those "errors."

nope, the crack shows on the rim and connects to both sides..bought all these from a reputable error dealer, must have purchased well over 1k from him, never has any "questionable" errors listed..

These are usually called a Fissure. They happen when brittle metal crumbles during the rolling process. These can be minor and near the edge of an uncut end of planchet strip, or be in the middle of a sheet.

As if I needed another reminder that I'm no error expert. ;) It looked like cutter damage to me at first glance, but looking more closely, I can believe what you describe. Neat!

This is actually one of the minor ones for a D mint.
I usually toss these into the change jar, not trying to be rude, but this is way more common than you think. I take it as a distraction because I see them often. Sometimes daily when every cent I get is a new release.

I might do that. It will most likely be next year before I have a roll. The majority of the 21D Cents and Nickels have been circulated already. Dimes are a plenty right now.

heck, i still have a lot to learn...i wish i took pics of the rim before i put in album, but like i said it def is there, was sold as a clip, but do not know, looks like a partial rim clip that wound up causing the lamination, the metal was weak there and maybe when punched, it formed the lam?? and crack, not sure, paddy might know better

the problem is, slabbing at pcgs is like 45.00 + a percentage of value i believe, and if looking at same errors that are slabbed from a vendor, they want from 5 to 30 times what i get them for raw, if i get a few bad ones now and again (like the cent that came from a jewelry mount i thought was a partial collar) the loss is made up for by the savings...just look at telstar coin or ctf error coins, some of his errors i have purchased myself raw for 10-60.00 those guys want 300 and up in a slab for same condition and type another example is edge lettering errors any where from 10.00-2000 per coin, depending on slabbed or not, weinberg sells sba with annealing errors for about 30-70, ctf wants 165 and up for the same coins, in fact i think he buys em from fred, lol
