https://ebwpromotions.com/devens-ma-coin-show/ I went to the Nashua show as a vendor last weekend (small scale hobbyist). Pretty good turnout. Sold about a third of what I brought, mostly encapsulated coins.
I was at that one. I wanted to buy a couple things but only brought so much money. To limit myself from spending too much lol. I ended up not buying anything...
Lived in Devens, for a few months when I was very young, when my father was transferred there. I have fond memories of a quaint small friendly town. We ended up on a farm in Plymouth Rock, and he commuted on weekends for 2 years. Loved that place. Our bus stop was a couple of hundred feet from the Rock memorial. Devens was the first time I rode an old wooden sleigh. I wonder if they still do that there? On weekends we would go hunting Americana stuff, at the yard sales and church bazaars. I imagine Devens has grown a lot, by now. I don't remember a coin shop, per say, but there were a couple of old stamp and comics shops I went to a lot. I was collecting both, at that time. Truth in editing: changed 'id' to 'if'.
Yikes. I hate villages and designated areas with non-existent Town names. It is a conspiracy. They only do it to sell multifold maps at gas stations, so we will get lost without the map. I hate those guys. We need to complain. We can't stand for these fake town coin shows in America.
I hate people that won't read maps and don't know how. Why, in my day, we would go from gas station to gas station searching for maps with the most folds and the longest and widest area covered and we were taught map reading because everybody followed Roosevelt on the radio using our Times printed maps to follow along and we didn't need no modern TV and when we did not know where a town was, we asked the gas station attendant, because they were paid to know. And, we liked it. Technology....hrmphfffff. What good is it if there are no town names? Where is my hot milk and cookies? I am tired.
I WAS A BOy scout, and studied in highs chool and map reading as well, so?? it is hell of a lot easier with gps, better than spending some 200.00 a year on maps (i used to do deliveries when i had my electronics and general merchqandise business..and then maps do not show accidents ahead, or where the fuzz iz, or road construction and dead ends..so i will gladly take a gps any day!!
No idea which table was yours but I did make it out today! I got 2 nice coins. 1813 O-103 CBH And a really nice looking eisenhower dollar. The guy had several and this one stood out. In hand it is almost proof like. I've never seen an ike look so P/L before.
