Here’s something I found in my fathers things a few years ago. Numistas rarity scale says 88, but that’s only for numista users and the exonumia section is still new. Does anyone else have one? Were you there?
Must be a 25th anniversary token. I went to a 10th anniversary concert in New Hampshire in 1979, saw Arlo Guthrie.
My father was there and got this and brought it back. there are others but I was curious if anyone had a full set! Or if I have something no one else on CT has
How cool! I've never found another, but I'm home for school break and saw it on my desk. Funny that you just recently saw one!
I would hate to be that person Evan, but you may wish to check your title. It would seem you used the wrong form of a word in your title.
In '69 I was only 10 y/o. However, we were a Catskill Mountain 'Borscht Belt' family. Our bungalow colony was in Monticello NY, about 4 miles from Bethel NY where Max Yasgurs' farm was that hosted the festival. Even up to 10 miles away cars were parked along every single road, side road and highway (Rt 17) with the concert goer's walking the rest of the way. My mother warned us to stay away from 'those hippies'! I asked her why? She said, because they smoke marijuana'. Wow, if mom only knew what 'those hippies' took at that concert she would have approved of marijuana even back then. @Evan Saltis no I don't have any exonumia like your anniversary token or otherwise. Nice piece.
That's what I thought when I saw your post. I probably should have grabbed them since it was being sold by the pound and they're aluminum but I'm not a token guy.
Drove out to Buffalo the weekend when the concert got over. The rest stops were full of mud children Rained a lot
