US Mint Survey

I received an email from NAXION with an invitation to participate in a survey for the U S Mint on its performance and products.
Can anyone confirm that it is legitimate? I would like to participate but am reluctant to click on any link sent to me unsolicited via email because of the possibility of it being malware or some other virus.

I would welcome the opportunity to comment on the Mint's poor procedures and performance when it comes to sale of the low production American Eagles and other high demand coins like the Morgans and Peace dollars this year.

Their current procedures basically screw their most loyal customers. I think the majority of those problems could be eliminated if they would open those special products to PRE BUY - (NOT PRE ORDER) and commit to filling every order received (with household limits low) and payed for during a specified period such as 2 weeks. That would permit anyone wanting to purchase the coins to do so without the current hassle of BAD GATEWAY, ETC. experiences.

That will tell the mint how many to produce based upon the number of competed sales plus any number of additional they want to produce for future sales. It should also limit the number of coins purchased by collectors and speculators in excess of what they want for themselves. Under the current policies many go to those with the intent of making money off of collectors who are unable to buy them no matter how timely their attempt to purchase them are because of the failure of the mint's computer system to handle the traffic.
I would also like to see them end the practice of reserving and selling large quantities of these to coins dealers which I have heard is the current practice. Why should they get special treatment?

Anyway, if anyone knows for sure that the link in the email is legitimate, I would appreciate it if they would share that knowledge. Thank you.

It's legit. I filled one out a few weeks ago and basically mentioned the same concerns as you did. I doubt if that will change anything.

I received a letter in the mail inviting me to do the online survey. Seeing how the mint listens to nobody, I figured it wasn't worth my time. Right into the trash it went.

The US Mint is into marketing. Making something appear to be in demand and difficult to attain is marketing heaven. They actually don't care if they retain customers or not. The rule today is instant gratification and instant income. There was a time when long term customer relations was a goal. Not anymore - get as much as you can while you can.

I have filled out US Mint surveys telling them how terrible they are. Wasted time. But, I am not wasting time or money on mint products anymore.

I just got one a few days ago and did one a few years ago. It's reputable.

I filled mine out today, it probably burnt the internet down on its way. I basically (in not so polite of a way) told them the same thing about being able to order limited edition anything and the fact that they pay NO attention to their loyal subscribers and kiss the ass of the MAJOR players.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

And isn't that what we all want? More flies?

It's a legitimate survey done by a third party. The questions are such that they get the positive responses they want, so in my opinion, a waste of time.
There are entire semester college courses on constructing tests, quizzes, and questionnaires, that are interesting to take.

Absolutely a waste of time. These surveys are essentially just a cover in order to collect demographic info on people in a way that makes you feel like youre doing something productive. Theres a reason why you cant skip whats your age questions or have a prefer not to answer etc but you can generally skip all the feedback questions you want

"How to lie with statistics" Yes, I spent most of my life as a Quality executive. The questions are designed to get the response you want.

It’s good but no matter what, nothing changes at the mint. It for getting worse.

This was by far the most exciting year maybe even ever for the mint. It's going to get really boring without a lot of creativity on their part for a while and people will go back to complaining they dont make anything anyone wants

When surveys are submitted, the company has to boxes, one for those that are positive and another for those that are negative. All positives are put in the positive box and every fifth negative is put in the positive box. I wouldn't waste my time.

I also reveived the Survey several weeks ago and made my opinion known--especially on the botched 2021 Anniversary Morgans and Peace Dollars.

BTW, tonight I did call the Mint (one thing that is atypical for an organization is that their Customer service is available to midnight EST everyday) regarding the 2021-D Morgan (21XG) that I returned for REPLACEMENT due to a "Scratch near the Mouth and on the Cheek". That coin was delivered to them on 11/15 but it is not yet reflected in my Account. The CSR told me that the Mint enforces a 2-week "Quarantine" on these returns (due to COVID, or fears of dangerous materials???), AND, that there are NO replacements currently available! Looks like I'll be getting a refund on my purchase, so I'm out the 2021-D Morgan AND was "skunked" on purchasing the CC and O versions due to the misbehavior of the Bulk Dealers/Bot Agents!

Actually no, i have a mason jar with a little apple cider vinegar in it with a few drops of dish wash liquid, and a rotting strawberry. I take a piec of paper and make a cone and they fly down there and are trapped and will die once they make contact with the vinegar due to the soap. i get dozens of tiny & some medium during peak fly season, otherwise they grow quickly and the house is full of huge B-52 speed adults; at least they are easy to swat! I would like to know who came up with that statement...
