I misplaced my wife but I'm glad she hasn't found me yet. Oh, we're talking about coins, sorry.

I use Excel for work, but based on comments here, I am about gradually putting all my coins in at Numista, which is free and you can export it in Excel spreadsheets. I am really impressed with Numista and highly recommend it.

Does Numista interface with EXCEL? If I had to enter each coin AGAIN, it would take a week of Sundays to get them in and then I would have to double check to see if I put coins correctly and had entered all of them.

It appears to be export only - no import feature, though maybe if you use the paid service that is an option. Yes, I'm moving from paper and doc lists to Numista and I've been working on it for a couple months - probably a couple more months before I'm done. I've gotten into a better rhythm though, so it's moving faster than it was at first.

Since I am more familiar with EXCEL than Numista, I think I will keep my records on EXCEL.
Can Numista be modified to use the data fields that I have used for EXCEL.
Is there any documentation of Numista so that I could look at Numista to determine if it has guidelines on setting it up and transferring information from my EXCEL spreadsheet...not an electronic transfer, but what each field can be set up to be used for a numberic or an alphanumeric field.
I would like to get information about Numista to determine if the program is practical for recording coins.
