Well I have been hoping to get this coin for quite some time.
The price has fallen over $500 since April of 2008 so I decided to bid when I seen this one come up for auction at heritage. There has always been coins up for auction but I figured if I was going to spend the money I really wanted a cameo one.

By adding this coin I have also finished my 1965-Present Proof Set!!

This set is basically done since I don't think I will be buying the Proof-70's for 1973, 1974 or 1975. There are so many other coins I could buy with a few thousand dollars. I am still working hard to finish my 1950-1964 Roosevelt set.

I really didn't think I would win the coin for what I won it at. In April of 2008 they sold one for $1495 and then in Jan 2010 they sold one for $920. I really didn't think that coin would sell for less than $1000 so I didn't bid on that coin. So when I seen another coin come up for auction, I decided to have a friend look at the coin in hand. After he said how good the coin looked, I decided to bid and placed my $800 bid. I ended up winning the bid at $700 so with the buyers kick I won the coin for $805. :D
