Hey I am submitting my first set of coins to CAC for review. One batch that is higher value and a second that are nice coins but lower value minus $250/each. It is giving me some shipping options from registered to priority. What's peoples experience. I'm thinking registered for the higher end coins and priority for the lesser, is that sounding iffy? Also I send the check in for the full about as if all sticker how do they refund for those that don't?
I haven't sent any directly, but from what I hear you will get a credit for future submissions for any that don't sticker (for a collector membership; dealer membership has no refund). As for mailing, registered is often the slowest but also the safest. It all depends on how much risk you want to take (and how expensive the higher value is-you don't need to tell us, just something for you to consider).
You can send it however you want it's just up to you on that. They wont reject something because it was sent express or priority. As far as the payments you'd get future credit, I'd recommend either giving a CC number or asking them to bill you for the final result instead of sending a check unless you plan to submit more in the future.
They keep the difference as a credit. And your next submission you send in the difference minus whatever your credit is. If you want the credit back you can contact them and request it. They are very quick to respond and help you with anything you need. I would send everything registered. To them and back. You don't want to lose it. It takes longer but do you want to lose what you send? I have sent many coins and no problems ever with registered.
