This year I thought I would buy a roll each of uncirculated p and D mint half dollars. Now I hear they are being released to banks for circulation at face value...
From a mint set but not anything of a SMS like the typical 65-67 sets, it's the best MS Kennedy I have and much better than my photo...pretty sure would grade 65 or better. Used to think 67-68, but that's when I hadn't looked at it for many years...I'm realistic.

The accented hair is a proof issue only. The SMS deal was by the mint director and all '64 SMS coins were in her possession and if you don't have provenance of the coin coming from her estate, you don't have a 64 Kennedy SMS. Sorry 0 for 2 on these.
