I have 2009 Lincoln LP3 and LP4 rolls and debating to open them. Would it be better to leave them as is or dive in? Mucho gracios! -Shrek
Think you could be a little bit more specific in your answer? I think your answer is a little unclear (/sarcasm ) Thank you kindly -Shrek
are they mint rolled ( I assumed they were by the LP4 designation), if so they bring a premium over face.
It is totally up to you and what your collecting needs might be. If you are looking for a premium coin to put in a collection or dansco, then open them. If you are a roll collector then don;t open them. If you are a price speculator...............I think the window of opportunity for resale is rapidly closing unless some soul out there opens a roll and finds a really cool new variety. That'll keep the window open longer but the truth of the matter is, these coins will be exactly like the NiCentennial coins of 40 years ago. Specifically, everybody saved them so .................. everybody has them. Just my thoughts. (Which may or may not make any sense at all.)
Just to back up a little. I have 3 rolls each of all 8 flavors in mint packaging. Are you saying the time to flip them is ending fast? Should I just sell/trade them now when I can still get a small premium?
Then you can bask in the thought that the coins in the roll are beautiful. Or you can break them and start counting all the spots on them.
