Actually we had about 2 cm. It was all gone by 11:00AM. I ended up baking 90 cinnamon buns and won that coin. I managed to work rest of the day doing Fall cleanups. As for doing snow....no way. I used to do it/ hated it. Now I just work full tilt from April to end of November in lawn care. My wife lets me keep all the "overtime" $$$ (200K) for my hobbies Still got a coin in sight Sincona Auction..... John
Slightly off topic in this thread about a Roman (which is awesome, BTW), but do you have any Axumite gold, @panzerman? I guess the cross on the reverse here made me think of that.
Yes, three of them Endybis AV 1/3 Aureus/ Unit Aphilas AV 1/8 Aureus/ Unit Ebana AV 1/3 Aureus/Unit I got clobbered at Roma Auction/ the Axumite coins where insane....
Good idea....you will not regret it I have four cinnamon buns for breakfast/ 365 days a year. I make mine with yeast dough/ scald 3 cups 3 1/2 % milk/ 1 pound butter/ cup sugar/ tsp. salt. 12 tsps dried brewers yeast/ let rise. Add scalded milk+ butter+sugar/salt into mixer bowl/ beat until lukewarm/ add risen yeast/ beat while adding 4 cups white flour. Change wisk beater for kneeding arm beater/ add 12 extra eggs yolks+ 4 whole eggs/ beat/ add flour until dough is solid. Let rise in a large bowl. Once risen fully/ portion dough into two equal portions. Roll flat on countertop. Will be 3ft/2ft/1/4 inch thick. Smear on 1/2 pound soft butter/ 1/2 pound golden brown sugar/ garnish with cinnamon. Bake at 350 F for 8 mins. Repeat for second load. Makes 90 buns. In past ten years I have eaten 14,600 buns. My waist is still 30/ like in highschool! But, I also walk 300+ K a week in my work.
Genevensis..............mis-read it as gingivitis. Lovely gold, John, and now I'm off to the kitchen for cinnamon rolls. Dang you.
you and me both....i have nary a gold coin in me collection...but, i'm only a couple hundred grand behind Panzerman on what i can spend
Wow! You almost need an industrial kitchen for that. Pretty awesome stuff. That is indeed a lot of walking, I probably walk 10% of that a week. I'll try and get some Roman gold and report back. I bet you can't ever go wrong with Roman gold.
I started at 9:00AM/ buns where baked and out of the oven by 11:00AM. Just normal countertop/ with Cuisinart Mixer. I ended up having 5 for a snack, then went to work, since snow had melted. In between I ended up winning my coin while wolfing down the freshly baked buns/double nice treat. I lost my Nuremburg AV 1648 MS-64 Dukat though
