The melodious clink... times twenty! (Actually 21 - one roll had another one.) And then the first one out of my next roll was a proof! That plus some other uncommon clad dates - obviously I hit a dump. Goosebumps! KIMG1494.JPG KIMG1495.JPG

This 2nd coin shortage is hitting me hard. Haven't been able to get anything within the last few weeks. Finally today I was able to get a roll of gold dollars,90 in quarters and a roll of dimes.

Went to my bank today to make a deposit. The teller called me over to tell me she got a box of half dollars she didn’t order in her shipment and was just about to call me. Of course I got them and I found a little silver! 1959 and 1962 D franklins and a 67 Kennedy. Not a big score, but silver is always fun!

Not really "roll" searching, but the building manager let me paw through the washing machine coins. (There is a small laundry room with two washers and two dryers). Probably about $150 total in quarters. Found 2x bat-cave 'W' coins!

Found it in a bank roll and trying to learn how to distinguish between full missing clad, environmental damage and acid bathing. I can't really tell because if it is full missing because there is no clad to compare unlike many examples. Most full missing I see are bright AU exposed cores. I haven't found a good resource on how to determine. There seems like some sign of clad remnants on the Rev. leading me to believe this was a science experiment. Snap_131.jpg Snap_132.jpg

Interesting finds from a nickel box included two 100 year Buffaloes, one war nickel, one 50 S Jefferson, and a low mintage 2009. The early decade Jefferson count revealed eight from the forties and seven from the fifties.

Because of Veteran's Day last Thursday, my CU didn't get my order. I came in on Friday and it wasn't there but they said it should either come later Friday or Saturday. I went in today figuring I'd be good but nope...Nothing yet. It's gonna be a bit of a crazy week trying to pick up/search/dump in time for the next shipment on Friday.
    If they come at all...

I do not usually CRH but I keep a box ($25.00) of pennies to pass the time if it is to cold to play golf. Have found several wheaties to add to by 5 gallon jug, nothing of any real value but I will keep going on frigid days. I may purchase a box of quarters and halves to peek at in the coming months.

I hope you have better luck CRH than I have.
