1983 d quarter reeding error?

    Acid damage. I've seen many examples of the years. The "oreo cookie" edge with "scalloped" reeding is characteristic of this type of damage.

    I got one also from 73 and I've been trying to find its worth but can't find anything on it have you had any luck

    Hey I found one of these as well. Its very thin and sounds different when dropped.
    Have you found out anymore info? I dont thinks its post mint or damaged by an individual.

    The quarter in question on this thread is most likely a metal detecting find which was later cleaned. Probably a found on beach as I have found quarters similar to this one that have spent years out at sea, you can still see some corrosion on the copper.
