Just got this from Ebay, what do you think?

I thought these were neato, so I picked them up:




They're a '72 mint set, looks like it's the P and D mints involved.

I've been picking up the occasional proof/mint set lately just because I dig them. I really liked that they came with their original envelope....I paid a little over $3, what do you guys think?

I'd say not a bad price. However, that's a mint set: not a proof set.

I am a collector of mint sets, because they are very reasonably priced, especially right right now. If you're planning on completing a collection, this is an excellant time to do it.

 

I bought many sets from bobby on ebay several years ago. He had auctions ending in the middle of the night, and I got them cheap, so check his listings, esp. 1-4 am ending times. I am over my mint/proof set fetish, and now I'm gonna sell them.

 

I also collect Mint Sets, I bought a 1968 from CoinsByBobby because it was a good price and all the coins have a disgusting haze on them with not a hair of mint luster showing. Needless to say I was'nt happy and won't be buying from him again.

I remember when I used to buy those for less than face value.

 

Proof set.s a little more desirable!!
