2021 Washington - Error?

This one is so far from the luster of all the other 21s I’ve seen. Plus the lines that are going diagonally are suspect. Is this just damage or did a step get skipped in the process?

Looks like environmental damage to me,still 25 cents.

 

Odd, the streaks on the field are even there between the letters, where you wouldn't expect some sort of buffing wheel to reach.
Perhaps some sort of die polishing effect maybe? Or (really really bad) feeder finger damage? Ok, yeah, I'm at a loss.
Possibly roller damage on the planchet...

Roller marks from feeding the sheet through the machine for desired blank thickness. The lines are too straight and parallel, and they appear on parts of some devices where they were not struck completely out, IMO

Sintered planchet

 

It is strange to me. The lines and discoloration is what led me to post it. I have not seen a 2021 this off color. They are almost always very brilliant. Something seems off about this one.

 

Worth hanging on to?
