I see the US Mint has issued their 2022 product release schedule. Looks like I'll be saving a lot of money. They do list proof Morgan & Peace coins for sale in the fall. https://catalog.usmint.gov/product-schedule/2022/
I might get a mint set for my Great Grandchild due in 2022, but, I will no longer participate in the many new accumulations they are pushing.
Ditto on the savings. I posted the same thing in another thread. I didn't get any of this years plethora of Morgan's or Peace, so why would I want the lesser desirable year 2 and beyond? My bank account thanks you dear Mint.
same as above for saving the Bank account! New Quarter program starting in 2022, atm i have no desire to collect any that i have seen so far! Not long ago I did get three 2021 uncirculated Mint sets at my LCS for $1 over what the US Mint sells them for but this could be the last year that i add anymore Mint sets to the collection.
2026 designs will be interesting! They'll commemorate the semiquincentennial. I probable spelled it wrong - better just say our 250th anniversary. Lol.
I got hooked on the State Quarters and then the ATB. In both cases the mint made so many different configurations that it became not only expensive but virtually impossible to keep up with. Each set went for ten years. This next one is another long project. I started buying from the mint in 1959 and I will no longer participate in US Mint products.
I got 3 of the morgan tributes and the peace tribute but won't get any next year.the mint should just have done these for 1 year,i think they'll feel watered down by doing more.
I think the upcoming American Women Quarter program will run for 4 years? I think Janet Yellen has the final decision on which nominees are selected? i have a feeling it will turn in to a political woke thingy before it ends, it could chase even more long time collectors away from the Mint and maybe the younger collectors too who were drawn in by the other Quarter programs? imo they have been going in the wrong direction lately and attracting more and more Coin flippers just looking to make a quick buck, time will tell i guess? one thing that really needs to be addressed is the current Web Site issues.
The Unbridled greed of the US Mint is unending. Swindling the innocent to the amusement of real collectors.
A proof Peace Dollar would be nice. The Peace Dollar was the best of the 2021 bunch. Hope that is the case again in 2022. Could be the first US Mint items I have bought since 2014.
The Purple Heart and Negro Leagues seem worthy subjects (better than the last few years anyway) but I was priced out of the 3-coin sets a while ago. I'll look for American Women quarters in pocket change. No surprise they continued the Morgan and Peace dollars, they will sell well. I got one of each this year, so I don't want any more. I'll make a game-day decision on continuing my silver proof sets. That new higher price adds some pain for sure. The various dollars, Eagles, and medals have never interested me.
