Latest addition to the Capped Bust Half Dime collection. This is 1829, die marriage LM-5, a common variety at R-1. Graded NGC MS-63. I liked the look of the coin. The 1 of the date was repunched, clearly visible at the top of the 1. Also, an extra half dentil shows between Star 9 and Star 10.
New arrivals in the Silver Bullion department Including the New 2022 10 Oz Queen's Beast, White Greyhound. Also the new 2022 Kookaburra and the new 2022 Samali Elephant coin, among others.
1971 D MS66 CAC IKE! This is a tough year for strike problems on clad dollars. Very difficult to find one that will pass cac. My picture doesn't even begin to show the beauty in the luster of this coin in hand. I never thought I would like a clad dollar as much as I do this one. I did overpay for this one but I honestly feel like the appreciation isn't there yet for the series like it should be. The ones who collect these know what I'm talking about... I paid what would be considered ms66+ price.
Does this coin have a glossy, super brilliant look to it? I'm wondering if this is perhaps one of those proof planchet strikes. I've got a 65 CAC 71-D: Here is the 66 currently in my registry set:
I don't have my CC or O privy Morgans from the mint yet, but I was able to get another set in a trade with @chadstone30. Thanks again!
