    Hey everyone,

I made a deal today and have a chance to trade back but want to check on some paper money I am unsure of and am hoping you all can help me with a real world value for these...

Series 1878 $1 bill signed by Allison-Gilfillan serial # b2257334 and a little mark that sorta looks like a star but i don't think is.

    Series 1917 $1 bill signed by Speelman-White Serial # m92715635a

Also have a stack of 100 silver certificates from 1957 which are all sequentially numbered and held together in a little book from the national state bank in newark, nj. They appear to all be bound on the left side with tape and the left edge marked on with red marker which I'm sure dosen't help.

    Thanks
    J

John.. your images are tiny..try going to www.photobucket.com and setting up an account and post larger images by copy and pasting image tags to your post.
It will better help us see the notes for what they are...
The Fr 39 the Speelman/White $1 Sawhorse is common grade plays into it alot. The $10 Large size Blue Seal looks to be a 8H St. Louis Note with Burk/McAdoo sigs...as mentioned need better images. The $1 1878 is a note of interest to me..only $1 note for that Series.

The Fr27 has seen its share of circulation..in Fine it's listed at around $225 to $250..I would go as far to say that note is a Good to very good as there are problems abound on the note, it;s surfaces, edges corners, hard folds paper brakes...I would not offer more than $80 to $100 for that note..at least go find an XF example or AU for a nice note.

The Fr39 Speelman White..same deal..maybe 30-$40 tops..its in bad shape and has writing on the face as well right of the portrait as well as stains on the left end. Get a AU note for cheap money..

The $10 Blue Seal St. Louis..well it has seen its share of ti,mes as well..
The Fr72 should bring around $65-$75 in Fine...the Large Blue Seals are really under priced and I look for them to make a move in higher grades this year or next..buy a better example. Pay attention to the staining at the upper left top..the hard horizontal folds have left is maks on the note as well.

Just my opinion for whats its worth to you.
