Have you ever owned a coin before, that you really liked, but ended up selling it for various reasons? I owned this 1880s PCGS MS 63 Morgan back in 2011. I decided to sell it, in my big toner sell-off of 2015, when I decided to pay for my son’s wedding. No regrets selling it, but missed it, as I love toned Morgans in OGHs.

After selling my AU 50 1893s, this coin became available in the Summer of this year. The asking price was quite a bit more than I had sold it for, but having had a sentimental attraction to its toning (all the money is in the toning, otherwise, it is just another common date Morgan). So, it is now back in my Morgan family.

This one I sent off as part of a trade (guy kept upping his offer until I couldn't say no :p). I bought it back last year for about 3x what I originally paid (but that was the market value and would have cost me even more now; plus it was way less than the ask before it was sent to auction).

Plain old common date NGC MS-63 1924 Saint. Back in the early days of Teletrade and low priced gold. I picked up this coin for a potential type set. I scanned it on a flatbed scanner and used it as a screen saver image. Then gold doubled and off it went back to Teletrade on consignment. Made good money. A few short years later gold had dropped and I got the urge to own another Saint. Picked one out of the catalog and low balled the bid. I was successful. When it arrived, yep same exact 1924 Double Eagle. Well travelled, it is now permanently in my collection and it owes me nothing having paid for itself a couple times over.

okbustchaser I may be old but I still appreciate a pretty bust Supporter

I've never done so, but there are a few that I would love to have back.

For example, if anyone happens to know her current whereabouts...

I have been collecting for over 30 years and in that time I have never sold a single coin or note. Good question, thanks.

I tried to buy. Original purchase was $5. Sold on Ebay for $4,500. Up for sale on GC a few years later, bid was $320 and I clicked place bid with approx 12 seconds left. Up popped screen which said invalid bid amount. Looked fine to me, and no time left to submit again. I put in 1001.02. Auction ended at $320. I tracked it and a registry shuckster ended up with it.
