The 50th Annual NYINC is Moving New location.. NY International Numismatic Convention (nyinc.info) InterContinental New York Barclay, located at 111 East 48th Street and Lexington Avenue This is the only time I do my error coins submission with NGC I will be going on Saturday. I hope to see some of you there again I will be wearing my CoinTalk button! Thanks @Terence Cheesman
Ohh Wow, sounds terrific . I would love to be there but unfortunately that can't happen but I would enjoy seeing Pictures of the event if possible .
Don't get too excited Sallymagooch. Just a bunch of rude new yawkas being jerks . Hmmm, maybe I'll get a table there, and set up the @CoinJockey73 W hoard for display. "One of the Seven Wonders of the modern numismatic World" (couple of Ws in there, get it?). Can someone from the event contact me here, please? Let me know who's available to sponsor me, please? Thank you.
(I'll be looking for that pin, not like i wouldn't recognize you after seeing all your posts, but after seeing that karate pic, I'll be leaving you alone...)
No problem.. It's just easier for me to actually sit with a representative from NGC to properly fill out the forms. There are at least 3 forms to fill. Error/Variety, World Error/Variety and a few foreign coins I purchase at the convention.
Can not attend but I will be looking forward to you're results. Good luck, have fun, be safe. Until then keep digging!
I'm going. Can't wait and look forward to the new venue. Really missed it this year since it was cancelled.
I would like (plan) to go. I must convince one person that is a good idea and I'll be there. Too bad the Vogue Knitting Live is not in person next Jan. The only downside is how much I see and how little will power I have. I agree. I missed seeing some of the rock stars of ancient coins. And a few rock stars of knitting
I will almost certainly be there, although I haven't decided whether to go on the Friday or the Saturday. (I am hoping to have enough cash in my bank account to take a reasonable amount with me, since the last time I went almost all the dealers were reluctant to take credit cards. Or at least were willing to give discounts only for cash payments!) I don't have a Coin Talk button -- I hadn't joined here yet at the time of the last convention two years ago. However, if anyone wants to say hello I shouldn't be too difficult to find, even wearing a mask, given that I still look reasonably like the photo (taken three years ago), although I sometimes feel that I've aged about ten years since then! Plus I'm only a little over five feet tall. Plus the last time I went there weren't more than a handful of female customers in the first place, something that I admit always makes me slightly uncomfortable. There are usually more women behind the tables than in front of them.
As we get closer to the event we usually start stating what day we will attend. I've taken pictures together with some of the members I have had the pleasure to meet so if we haven't yet I will ask you all now.. Are you camera shy?
@paddyman98. If you're a member of the ANA, NGC will wave certain fees. Just sayin' . A couple of years ago I submitted a group to them at a show and saved a bunch.
@paddyman98 is this convention strictly limited to world and ancients? All the literature I've read sure makes it sound that way. Are there any/many dealers in US coins/currency? Same question with the lots up for auction. Are they all ancients and world? Everyone considering going needs to know that the show organizer must follow the NYC mandates for proof of vaccination. You MUST show your papers.
