Technically, I didn't search many to find this one. I found it in like April 2013. Had ony been CRH'ing for a few months at that point and wasn't doing nearly the volume I do now. Now....how many will I need to search to find a second.... lol
@AirborneReams Posted this before. Bought a bag of 300 cents all from the 1970's and was sure they had been searched. Only a short way through and this appeared, the only variety or error in the whole bunch, so must have been missed, lucky for me as they are difficult to find. 1971 DDO-001 Stage B
Definitely has errors. Research it, seal it, show it, enjoy it. Nice coin, thanks for sharing. Good luck with you're decision.
Well there’s only an estimated 20k out there so he must be one lucky dude if he found that and didn’t purchase!
That’s freaking awesome I bet that made your whole week makes me want to search my pennies none stop now
You could always asked for conservation before grading and let them take the risk of removing the fingerprint. Just a thought.
I wouldn't mess with it because you have a variety coin that even in grades MS-63 or MS64 is worth at least $500-$600, but if you do something trying to clean it that is detectable it might end up being ungradable as cleaned or altered surface, and you will completely lose it's potential value as a graded coin.
That’s true I didn’t think about that.. I should call them Monday just in case. Btw I’m still curious if that’s really you in your picture every time I see it
@AirborneReams you got yourself a beautiful representation of a great '72 DDO. Appreciate it for what it is, a really sweet coin. My recommendation would be not to do anything to it that you might regret. I also would keep that beauty raw. Congrats, you scored a nice one.
