Old memories are not always perfectly accurate

The list of coins includes several 1972's as well. But hey! Everybody knows that the fabulously hip sixties were larger than life anyhow, right?

Did you ever determine what your coin collection was worth? Mom just lost everything in a fire and we are trying to determine value of certain contents for the insurance. Thank you!

Not really but probably in the $100-200 price range.

    Question

Quick question, who are the 6 presidents on the bronze medallions below center? I inherited this set from my grandfather....he bought it from a Gulf Oil Card promotion back in the early 70's. All his grandchildren would admire it whenever he opened it up during Thanksgiving visits. Great memories. I am missing a few of those presidential medallions, and am on the hunt to see if I can replace. Thanks.

There is a list in post #4 of each coin and these six are identified as medals: #25 - #30.

You have 24 hours to edit your own post. So this by clicking "edit post" at the bottom of that post. if you cannot edit it, contact one of the site Moderators and request they edit it for you.

The medal in the set is FDR. You could search Google images of the two men and compare them to the medals to see likenesses. Also the medal should have the Presidents name on it, and inauguration details on the reverse, whose dates would indicate which President the medal is for.

There is a site called liveauctioneers.com

It shows that a Heritage of America coin collection was sold in 2004 for $50.
