Too Smooth 1957 Washington Quarter?

    Hi there,
I just bought this 1957 quarter (you're right, Ebay) that was described as uncirculated. But, its features seem too smooth for an uncirculated coin--but it is shiny..., perhaps too shiny. I know coins are redesigned by the mint every so often, so perhaps this 1957 quarter is supposed to look like this. But.... is this a legitimate unaltered coin? I'm very new at this hobby, so I will appreciate any advise you can provide.

I'm not a grader, but it looks like a weak struck UNC. It's almost PL.

Is that a hair or something on Washington's forehead or is it a die crack?

Looks like it could be a proof coin to me.

    Have any other photos?

Thanks! Did they do George's hair differently in the 1950's? I can post more pictures later (and remove the cat hair).

My guess would be a problematic proof coin.

Thanks to everyone who commented! I am new at this and thought the quarter would have more crisp definition--in George's hair, for example.
