Hey all! I just recently was given a full 5 gallon water jug from my dad that he started collecting sometime in the 90s. He is not a coin collector he was just saving them to turn them in one day and never stopped so they haven’t been picked through since he received each penny. There are a small amount of wheats, a S ton of memorials and a bunch of the more current pennies. My questions is what varieties or errors should I be looking for that may be worth something? I have made a list please let me know if I’m missing any. I know all of the wheats to keep an eye for so just memorial and up. I will keep you guys updated if I ever find anything maybe worth of value. I’m just excited to look through them if I find anything or not. 1960 small date 1969-S DDO 1970-S small date 1972 DDO 1983 DDR 1984 DDO 1992 close AM 1995 DDO
I need to pull mine out again. I haven't looked at it in years. Now I have a much better USB scope to take some pictures
'82-D, copper, small date. (Long shot - only 2 have been found, I think - but I figured since you're looking anyway...)
I was at it for an hour tonight and it’s almost embarrassing how many I made it through maybe 200-250 out of what 30-35k???
Awesome I just found out these existed the other night so I ended up grabbing the one I found. Hopefully the wife doesn’t check the bank statements this month!
Ladies and gentlemen if you’d like to become a penny expert within a few weeks and paid hourly at 20$ an hour please feel free to contact me! Please..?? Will be taking much longer then expected
If it was completely full then it should be closer to 42k, lol. The last time I filled a 5 gallon water bottle full of pennies it weighed a little over 200 pounds and there was just over $420 worth in it.
