That's fine if you live in NYC or any other high tax area, but around here the tax is around 6%, so 12% really doesn't cut it for decent to good service.

 

Double the tax!! What island do you live on!! LOL

 

I've got a friend who tips with dollars made up into origami figures. They love them.

 

Ive seen those, There like little birds right??

Imagine a restraint North of San Francisco.
There the tips are origami. Oh. And it might be my daughter's "Food Is Special"
place. Humble Pie is available. TIPS spent locally and a good time is had by all.

The other side of the token what do you give for poor service, Depending

It,s really about basic service, I went to a high end steak house
A few months back and was greeted with the worst service ever
We were set down and it took 30 minutes just take are order!!
I left 2 pennies face down thought that would send a stronger

Living in San Francisco without a care I use pub. trans. to get around. I tip "hacks " 2dollar bills all the time. Never coins!

I work in a grocery store and a lady tipped me with 3 sequential 1976 $2 bills once and 3 2003's one time as well (not same lady). I've also been given a 1977 1 Franc.

 

I think we can agree interesting and rare notes are fun to receive anytime

 

Great Idea me and the old lady are going to Olive Garden this weekend and I will leave the tip in presidential dollars.

After stopping at a bank and getting 7 Ikes yesterday, I used one of them to buy a burrito at Taco Bell, just for the heck of it. You should have seen the look on his face. LOL
