This one is is a ten cents military payment certificate series 521.about 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" I think the other is German currency.
The 10 cent note is what is known as a Military Payment Certificate. Military Payment certificates have a fairly strong collecting base and are listed in the greensheet. The most recent copy of the greensheet I have handy lists yours at $1.25 bid in VG; however, from the image your note appears to be substantially nicer than that. Bid in Unc. is $19 (the sheet is a month old, so it may have changed). The pictures aren't quite good enough for me to read the two notes on the right, but they are from Danzig (now known as Gdansk). The language is German, which would lead me to believe that they date from before WWII. Possibly notgeld; possibly another type of currency or token currency.
Hi Midas1, Come join us at Mpc Talk, Many pictures there also on my picture Album! Come join us, I will send you an invite!
MPC stands for Military Payment Certificate, such as your series 521 10 cent note. (I should have mentioned the acronym in my first response.)
Hi Midas1, Just go to discussion groups and you can sign up there better yet I will send you an invite to not only the Mpc Talk group but The TPG Support group! Thanks, Rusty
As all you MPC collectors know, they all have had a series number. By the number you call tell when they were issued. I don;t remember the number but it changed sometime in late 1970 or early 1971, as I was new in country.
