Is it rare to receive eight $20.00 bills with the same serial numbers?

Simply put, yes it’s normal. Bills are in sequence in packs of 100. That’s what you’re seeing.

To add to that, even star notes unless
a special number not at a premium.

 

When I hit up the ATM at my bank it almost always gives me a few sequential $20's
