Received this in the mail today. I like this design
Just thought I would share some pics of the real Cent instead of the drawings
    and animations.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing! Now did you just get a picture of this in the mail or an actual coin in the mail?

Actual coin, Came today in the mail.
Took it out of the roll was debating on whether to open the roll while waiting on it to come. When I got it the roll was a Head/Head roll so I broke it open

I have to say, the coin looks much better than the drawings that have been floating around the internet and news stands.

That reverse is just great. I love uncluttered designs.

    Oh nice, thanks for sharing.

I did notice that the "spots" that seemed so prevalent on many of the 2009's are still present on the 2010's :(

...it's clear the mint isn't concerned in the least about their product looking presentable.

Who sent it to you? Where did you get it?

I like it. Looks better on the coin than in pics. I like the simpleness of the design.

glad to have a new (and IMHO) better looking reverse on our cent.

We need change in our coins! (Change for our spare change)

The wear points are going to be a bear on the reverse of this coin design. I imagine the reverse is going to ugly up pretty quickly on these so put them away early my friends.

    Bohold your future 2010 cent...

Good grief what do you expect? These are meant to be spent, thrown on the ground or in parking lots and run over by cars. Then left to corrode away into little lumps of copper contaminated zinc oxide.

    ....yeah, but the PROOFS TOO???

You are right. Recently I did some penny rolls searching and I mean a bunch of rolls. I bet I pulled as side (20) 09's. Most of them were in real good shape, but I had to pick one from each series. Even the best had those friggin spots. I thought it was just a bad bunch for me.

Haven't seen any proof 2010 cents and the discussion in this thread has been on the business strikes. And even on the proofs I would guess that 98% or more that they produce are fine. Maybe not PF-70's, maybe not even PF-69's, but the Mint never makes any claim to perfection, it's just the collectors seem to expect it so they can get the coins slabbed and flip them for a bundle. For many of them, if they can't get that windfall profit, then the Mint is shoddy and incompetent.

and what they don't realize to begin with is the fact that if you can commonly find them in a proof set, then even slabbed, they won't command high premiums. It's the ones that are difficult to find in high-end condition that command the big premiums in high grades.

I like it. I knew the coin would look better than the drawings, but it's better than I had hoped.
