Gots my 2021 Morgans on Friday and I thought it might be fun to put up some photogs of both the new (2021) and old (1921) Morgan. Granted, my classic Morgan is not bright and shiny mint state, but it is fun to put the two examples up for exhibition to see what you guys think. Which one do like better? Quite frankly, I enjoy both. I think the mint did a nice job with the current Morgan and while some of the more 'classic types' of guys collecting the 'old stuff' might disagree............tough apples. It's my thread. As always, thanks for looking and commenting. And do please try to keep the negative 'chatter' to a minimum or I shall be forced to exhibit some of D. Carrs' stuff.
I think this is the proper way to look at it. Of course there will be differences from a coin made 100 years later with different technology and composition, doesn't mean you have to pick one or the other
Nice pictures and coins . I think it’s important to remember that the OG Morgans are only 90% silver so they will look different than the 2021s that are 99.9% silver. I got my P CC and O’s but still waiting on the D, S and Peace. But I can’t take pics as good as yours xD I bought 3 full sets since I’m giving 1 set to my uncle for Christmas and selling 1 set which leaves me with 1 set for myself. Me and my uncle have a tradition of giving each other coins for Christmas. I always feel bad because the ones he gives me are always worth a lot more than the ones I give him :/.
I'm sure he don't 'keep score'. It's all in the love of the game, and I think this year, my friend, you may have well out done him. Enjoy the 'joy' of collecting...........and giving.
I'm not sure what xD is, but you can sure as bloody burro (devil, hell?) take most marvelous photogs..........
